It"s more yes AND no. I have been dealing with a bunionectomy & toe shortening surgery from August 8 2017 performed by Dr. Jaryga that made my foot 100x's WORSE than when I first came in. I/we don't know (as of this moment) if something occurred during this surgery that made me lose ALL function of my big toe. On my next to last post-op appointment with Dr. Jaryga, I told him something was wrong/didn't feel right. He proceeded to push on the top of my foot and move my big toe around. He told me that per the X-ray of my foot, everything was structurally right (bones, pins where they should be) and he didn't know why I would still be in pain EVEN THOUGH my big toe had fallen over to the right, almost behind the second toe (the one that was shortened). When I pointed this out, he told me that he didn't put my big toe back straight again because if he did, I would just have problems again due "to the way women's shoes were made (pointed)". I don't think he wanted to come across as condescending, but he did. He made me feel as though the pain I feeling was just in my head and that he didn't believe me. At this point, my next follow up was scheduled for two weeks later and Dr. Jaryga said if I was still in pain then, he would refer me to Dr. Downey. Long story short, I was still in pain and he referred me to Dr. Downey. Dr. Jaryga made me feel as though this was an imposition. I left that appointment feeling MORE anxious and angry than when I went in. Thank heavens for Dr. Downey!! At my first appointment with him he told me that the pain was NOT in my head and that none of the problems I was having were MY fault! It took all of ten minutes for him to diagnose me with with CRPS by asking me just 3-4 questions that Dr. Jaryga didn't bother asking me. Also, Dr. Downey saw and felt that my big toe had fallen over to the right side and I had lost all range of motion. He set me up with PT to see if that would help. We set up the next appt for two weeks. At this appointment, it was clear that PT was not doing anything/helping. Dr Downey discussed different surgical options to put my toe back to where it should be. He never once said that my toe could never be straight again due to the way women's shoes were made!!! So now it is December 2017. The second surgery has been done (I feel as though to correct the FIRST surgery, Dr. Jaryga's). Due to the pain and my fallen big toe, I cannot wear a REAL shoe and have been stuck in a boot since August!! I only wish Dr. Downey had done my surgery in the first place. I feel that if he had, I would NOT be here, with a rebuilt foot that should have only been a simple bunionectomy. Dr. Downey has never once said that any of this was/is Dr. Jaryga's fault. Me, I'm not so sure. Maybe if I felt as though my pain and questions had been taken seriously, I wouldn't be so angry about being in this situation.

Waiting time.
Nothing that I can suggest.

Any complaint from me would be nitpicking.
