Explain charges better. I was charged by the hour and I knew this but I was charged the travel time to my home. This I did not know.

I chose North Dallas Moving and Storage despite the fact that they were the most expensive because their salesman promised that they would replace any goods damaged in the move. They moved me in April and I contacted them to let them know my refrigerator was dented. They gave me a low ball offer for the repair. I contacted Sears to get the actual cost and forwarded that information to the adjuster. In the meantime (about a week), the refrigerator stopped working altogether. The adjuster told me that they would not cover it because the refrigerator was working when we last spoke. She told me I could not prove that the damage was caused by the move. I said she couldn't prove that it wasn't. Since the adjuster made it clear they would not help me and I needed a refrigerator, I bought a new one and had the old (16 months) one hauled away. I continued to pursue my claim and even offered to accept a settlement for half of the cost of the replacement refrigerator. Today, after more than 5 months, the adjuster came back to me with their original offer that wouldn't even have fixed the dents.
My experience with my daughters was horrible, but she was afraid to speak out. First she was given an attitude by a Hispanic woman named Ariana or something then soon after heard her cursing under her breath! I found that really rude and unfortunately thatās why I will not recommend other than that everything was good.

Continue on with its vision and values. Continue to Train new employees to the same standard. Each employee should know what the great attributes are for Move Star so they keep those standards real, tangible and attainable. Carry onš!
A follow up communication night before or day of would have been appreciated. I called 10 minutes before they were supposed to be there for a confirmation and was told they'd call me back. They called back within a few minutes to tell me that they were many hours behind. This would have set a lot better with me had I been informed by them calling me and calling hours beforehand when they knew they were running behind. There were many items they didn't bring and i just don't know why. They specifically asked me if a large rug goes, i said yes and then they left it. I asked about the remaining items and they had the audacity ask me what items so i pointed at the boxes, rugs, etc. I asked at the very beginning to tell me what could not be taken on the truck so i could pack my car and they waited until we were leaving. We told them how to get to the new house and they still got lost. My husband had to meet them down street and guide them to the house. It was an incredibly long day that left me feeling like my time didn't matter. I don't plan toever move again but if i do i would pick another company.
Clearer pricing structure. Flat rate per hour with no additional add on costs. Just charge for the time spent and include travel, fuel etc all included.
Pricing - starting the āclockā when leaving your office and then also charging a fuel surcharge is a bit exorbitant.

The movers did not move all the boxes. When ask why they said "we have run out of room in the truck" which seemed a illegitimate reason for not finishing the job. Also we found about a half dozen places on stain grade furniture that sat undisturbed in previous house and undisturbed in new house (no kids, pets, parties, contractors) that now have very noticeable areas with abrasions down to the raw wood.
