They didn’t put my desk back together correctly. Messed up a set screw on my refrigerators freezer basket.

I requested information regarding my move from Brookmeadow, Dallas to Colony Way, Fate TX on March 24. On March 30th I confirmed my move date of Saturday, April 25. I advised Lance that no appliances would be moved, but there would be a riding mower & a vespa scooter, 2 small palm trees in heavy planters, a large bush in a heavy planer, along with all other normal household items for a 2400 sqft home. He confirmed a 3 man crew @ $160ph, taking approximately 8 hours. (They were done in about 5.5 hrs) April 25, the crew arrived on time. During the walk-thru the "lead", informed me that they would not move any lamps and that he had not been made aware of the mower or vespa. He then said that he couldn't take the plants, lamps and the majority of items in the garage. I must choose the most important items in the garage, they and they would leave everything else. The "lead" was gruff and compared to the other 2 workers, he was slow & less than helpful. The "lead" only spoke AT me to tell me what couldn't be done. I was informed by a member of the team that my move was considered last minute and that they didn't usually work on Saturdays since they are the A team. I've previously used MoveStar multiple times, but have NEVER been treated in this manner. I had a drop-dead date to be out of my home, so I had no choice but to move forward with your company. My daughter & I had to rent a U-haul and spend the next 2 days moving the rest of my belongings. *As I am almost 60 years old, this is NOT something I expected to pay for and then complete myself. To top it off, when we reached my new home, the "lead", was more than polite & friendly to my son-in-law & grand daughters and even me. The team blamed all of the above issues on Lance Mize. They claimed they were never told of all the items to be moved. They NEVER offered to make two trips and the "lead", seemed in a great hurry to complete the job and leave. I was happy with MoveStar in the past, but absolutely unhappy and extremely disgruntled now. I have spoken with the General Manager and will be sending the same information to him, so he may present to the two owners.
Not a thing!
We had an excellent experience and I can think of no areas that are in need of improvement.

I was pleased! I think they all did a great job!
Maybe a confirmation email the day or two before.
There was still quite a bit left behind after the movers left to move. The truck was full so they had to make a run, but I thought they would have gone back for the rest. They did not offer to make a second trip, or for overtime (I realize there would have been a surcharge). We now have to rent a trailer and do the rest ourselves. They also weren't conscious of walls when bringing furniture into our new construction home, nor did they place ramps up the steps of our sidewalk until they saw me move our entry rug out of the way. I will reconsider using a firefighter owned business in the future, because the movers aren't actual firefighters...nor are they professional movers. I will not post this on social media, because Lance was nice and easy to work with and I don't want to ruin potential business. I just wanted you to know. However, I was less than impressed with our actual crew.
