Honestly this was the best moving experience I have had, and I've used four other major moving companies in the DFW area.
While AB moving was careful with my furniture, which I appreciated, they were, in my opinion, very slow. I have a one bedroom Condo which contained the normal amount of furniture one would expect including a queen sized bedroom suite, washer and dryer and a curio cabinet. All drawers were empty and I pulled most of the shelves out of the bookcases and kept track of the hardware.They did not move any boxes or small items, just furniture. It still took them 3 1/2 hours for a 5 mile move. I was disappointed in that, but if that had been it, it would have just earned them a medium rating. When the lead mover pulled the washer out of place, he broke the transition piece between the tile floor and the laminate flooring. He looked me directly in the eye when he did it and said nothing, just put it back in place. After he moved the washer I went to look at it and asked my significant other if that had been broken before, and when he saw us discussing it, the mover did admit he had broken it. We are pretty laid back, so we just said, that's ok, it's not a big deal. Again, a bit of a disappointment, but things happen. After the furniture was brought into the new house, they had me sign about a million forms, which they didn't seem anxious for me to read. They charged the additional 1.5 hours, and left, after I went ahead and gave them each a 10% tip. They had not placed the armoire where I wanted it, so we moved it. That's when I discovered they and knocked a hole about the size of a quarter in the drywall with the top corner of the armoire. For me, it's not so much that they damaged the wall, but the fact that 1) they did not tell me they had done it, and 2) they covered it up with the armoire so it couldn't be seen until the piece was moved. They had such amazing reviews on Angie's list as well as other places I checked I was confident that I was going to have good, quick, honest movers. I am very disappointed and not only will I not use them again, I will not refer anyone to them.
The only think that needs improvement is the survey. I tried to do it twice from 2 different devices the day after the move because the guys did so well.
