When you issue discount coupons you need to make it clear if there are excluded days. I received a coupon for a move that was supposedly good until April 30. No exclusions were noted. However, when we scheduled the move for Saturday April 2 I was told that the coupon was not good on that day.
This is the review I left on Yelp... I originally booked my move with AB Moving because they had great reviews and seemed reasonably priced. However, after this past weekend, I will NOT be recommending them to anyone. I was scheduled to move between 8am - 10am last Saturday. The driver called around 8am to let me know they hit some traffic and would be there around 9am. Perfect, no problem at all! Around 9:15am no one had shown up so I called to follow up. The driver informed me that they were not coming because my job had been unexpectedly cancelled. At which point I called the home office directly to figure out why no one had called to resolve the matter or at the very least, reschedule for another time. Apparently there was a "glitch" in the system and my drivers were once again "on the way". The drivers finally arrive at 10:30am, not ideal, but still had high hopes for the company. Unfortunately, my high hopes were soon crushed when three adolescents showed up to move my furniture. I felt more like a baby sitter at that point then anything. I am all for an employee enjoying their work and having a good time, but not at a paying customers expense. They were constantly off task, moving slowly, attempting to play with my roommates pets...at one point my roommate and I were moving my furniture to speed up the process! I also had to ask four times for all of my furniture to be wrapped, and still that did not happen. Once we arrived at my new home I watched from a window as one of the movers loaded an empty wooden bookshelf (once again, not wrapped) and a few plastic tubs of clothes onto a dolly. Half way to the front door he dropped the entire thing. Scratching the book shelf my grandfather had built me years ago. I was hoping when he came in he would apologize or at least address the fact that the accident had happened. Nothing, he said nothing and went back to unload more. In the end, the did take off 30 minutes (about $60) for dropping the bookshelf after I brought up the fact that I watched it happen. However, I wish I had made a bigger complaint with the home office. After unpacking and seeing the full damage, I now have a twin mattress that has some kind of hot pink stain all over it, a recliner that has a black stain on the arm, a broken washing mashing door, a scratched desk, a plastic bin full of framed photos that were dropped and now shattered, a scratched bookshelf....overall this was a TERRRIBLE experience, that I paid almost $500 for. The only positive thing I can say about this company was that Mike, who scheduled my service via email, was very informative and quick to respond to my questions before the move.
I'm not sure... I have not had any issues. The only thing I could think of is a discount for repeat customers!
There was a lamp that was lost in transition and I called to find out if it could be shipped back to me or I could meet up with someone to get it back. I never heard from anyone, so definitely a better system on items that are left in the truck on accident would be an improvement.

The only thing I could think of would be when coming from my old apartment to my storage unit, it took them a really long time to meet up with us - but I understand they have to drive extra slow in the moving truck.
Items missing from move spand no response. Also very expensive.
